Brian is one of the founders of Trinsic Residential Group. He directs the investment and growth strategy for the company, as well as its development and acquisition activities.
With over 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, Brian has been involved in more than $1.6 billion in development, acquisition and financing of institutional quality multifamily properties. He has helped drive Trinsic’s growth to over 4,000 units in various stages of production.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Brian was the Managing Director for Alliance Residential, overseeing the development and acquisition for North Texas. He also served as the Portfolio Manager for Alliance Residential Fund I, a $200 million multifamily investment fund, from 2008 – 2010.
Brian holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he was a licensed CPA. He is actively involved in several charities in the Dallas area.
Steve joined Trinsic in 2017 as President. In this role he will be involved in a number of facets of the business including investment management, capital markets, platform growth opportunities and helping source new development opportunities.
Steve is a senior level real estate executive that has over 25 years of industry experience. He has proven capabilities in financial reporting and analysis, portfolio administration, due diligence, acquisitions, underwriting, loan processing, leasing, and asset and property management. During his career he has acquired in excess of $2.0 billion of commercial real estate properties, managed a portfolio in excess of $1 billion in equity investments for Goldman Sachs' Whitehall funds, and asset managed over $1.5 billion in commercial real estate debt, workout and equity transactions.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Steve was Managing Director of Acquisitions for Transwestern Investment Group overseeing the firm’s acquisition activities including investment strategy, sourcing, due diligence and market/asset selection. Before joining TIG, Steve was Senior Vice President and Director of Acquisitions for Hunt Realty Investments where he was responsible for leading the development and implementation of all new business activities. In this capacity he played a key role in the formation of an investment partnership with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Within this venture he was responsible for sourcing and managing the successful launch of 4 operating platforms, one of which is Trinsic Residential Group. Combined these platforms were responsible for developing more than 6000 multifamily and senior living units and industrial and retail developments containing 6.3 million square feet representing more than $1.5 billion in gross asset value.
Steve received his BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University. He is a member of The Real Estate Council and NAIOP.
Joe is one of the founders of Trinsic Residential Group and serves as Chief Operating Officer. He oversees operations and asset management and assists in sourcing new business opportunities.
Joe has spent more than 25 years in the real estate industry and has been involved in every facet of multifamily development activity. His transactional experience includes the development of over 5,000 apartment units and $500 million of equity and permanent debt financing, construction loans and asset sales.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Joe served as the COO of Commercial Real Estate Investments for Archon Group, a Goldman Sachs company, Managing Partner of North American Properties and its predecessor Ewing Properties, and Chief Financial Officer of Lincoln Property Company.
Joe holds a B.A. in Economics from Austin College and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Matt oversees all capital markets activities for Trinsic Residential Group. In this role, he sources and structures equity and debt transactions for the company.
Matt has completed over $950 million in multifamily acquisition and development transactions. Prior to joining Trinsic, Matt was an acquisitions partner for Palatine Capital Partners, and a Director of acquisitions for L&B Realty Advisors. He has also worked with Lincoln Property Company, Rivendell Development, and Presidio Realty.
Matt holds a B.A. in Economics from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of The Real Estate Council, TREC’s Associate Leadership Council Alumni Association, the Urban Land Institute and National Multi Housing Council.
Sheri joined Trinsic Residential Group in February of 2014. She oversees third-party property management relationships and directs all asset management activities for lease-ups. She also assists the Development partners in underwriting, budgeting, design/development and lender/partner relationships.
Sheri has over 30 years of experience in the multifamily industry. Prior to joining Trinsic, she was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Alliance Residential for 12 years. In that role, her responsibilities included overseeing operations for 69 properties (totaling more than 17,000 units) as well as business development for all major markets in Texas, Florida, Atlanta and Washington DC. She also has a background in the development of high-end lease-ups and dispositions.
Sheri Thomas attended Michigan State University and holds her CPM® and CAPS designations. She is a member of the Institute for Real Estate Management, the Houston Apartment Association and the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas.
Adam joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2011 and oversees the company’s development and acquisition activities throughout Texas. As a member of the Trinsic team, he has begun construction on twelve projects in North Texas and two in Central Texas totaling over 4,400 units with a capitalization of approximately $650 million.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Adam was with Greystar Real Estate Partners and Alliance Residential in similar capacities, and worked on over 4,000 units with a total market capitalization in excess of $400 million.
Adam received a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from Baylor University, and an M.S. in Land Development from Texas A&M University. He holds a Texas Real Estate Broker License, is an active member of The Real Estate Council and a 2011 graduate of The Real Estate Council’s Associate Leadership Council.
Jason joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2011 and is responsible for the company’s development and acquisition activities in Central Texas, focused on Austin, San Antonio, and the surrounding metropolitan areas.
Most recently a member of Trinsic’s North Texas development team, Jason was involved in the development of more than 4,400 multifamily units consisting of a total market capitalization of $650 million. Prior to joining Trinsic, he held commercial real estate positions with Bank of Texas.
Jason received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business where he graduated Cum Laude. He later earned the chartered financial analyst designation from the CFA Institute. Jason is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin and was a member of The Real Estate Council’s 2017 Associate Leadership Council in Dallas.
Todd joined Trinsic in 2013 and is responsible for the development and acquisition activities for the Southwest. Prior to joining Trinsic Residential Group, he held a number of titles at Alliance Residential, most recently Managing Director of National Investments and Acquisitions. In that role, he was responsible for identifying, underwriting, repositioning and harvesting investments in apartment communities, fractured condominiums and raw land across the U.S.
Todd has been involved in the development of more than 1,500 apartments, representing an investment of over $200 million, in communities throughout Arizona and New Mexico. In addition to his development experience, he has coordinated the acquisition of more than $110 million in apartment properties in Texas, Virginia, New Mexico and California.
Todd received his B.S. in Commerce from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in real estate finance. He is an active member of the Executive Council Charities, which raises money for underprivileged children throughout the greater Phoenix area.
Doug has a diverse background in real estate, which includes multifamily development, construction and management. In more than 30 years in the business, he has been involved in the development and/or construction management of more than 14,000 residential apartments in the southwestern U.S.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Doug served as Vice President of Construction for NextGen Apartments, where he oversaw the company’s multifamily apartment projects. Earlier in his career he held senior management and executive positions with companies such as SunAmerica, JPI Inc. and Equity Residential.
Doug holds Commercial and Residential General Contractor licenses and is a licensed real estate agent in Arizona. He received his education from Arizona State University.
Timothy has been involved in the construction and real estate development industry for nearly 35 years. His experience includes the entitlement, development and construction of multifamily, resort and retirement communities. During his career, he has developed or constructed 7,500 units of multifamily product.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Timothy was Vice President of Development & Operations for Centex Destination Properties and Terra Mesa Development Group where the projects under his management had a market value in excess of $250 million. Before that, he held Vice President positions with a number of firms including Ameriton Properties, Archstone Communities, C.F. Jordan and The Weitz Company. He also has maintained his own real estate consulting firm.
Mark joined Trinsic Residential Group in 2012, and is responsible for all construction and project management activities in North Texas.
Prior to joining Trinsic, Mark worked for CF Jordan, Trammell Crow Residential and First Worthing serving in a variety of roles essential to construction management. He brings over 20 years of experience in estimation management, budget development, buy-out, scheduling and job-cost reporting. Mark has been responsible for overseeing the construction of a diverse spectrum of projects that include wrap, podium and garden apartments throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area as well as well over 5,000 residential apartment units in the South Central United States.
Mark received a B.S. in Construction Sciences and Business Management from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and recently served on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Builders Association.
